Much more than a golf course:
an enchanting game of challenges

A place where the landscape becomes part of the game.
Designed in 1989 by architect Luigi Rota Caremoli, it was the first 18-hole par-72 golf course to be built in Sicily.
This 5,870-meter course has holes set in volcanic rock terrain, a driving range, and putting and pitching greens, combining technical challenges with natural wonder. Playing here means entering into a unique dialogue with the power of the volcano and the tranquillity of its landscape.

Playing a round on Mount Etna means listening to the voice of the Earth herself.

18 holes

Hole 1

PAR: 4
HCP: 8

A relatively short hole with a dogleg left. Watch out for the out-of-bounds area to the left of the fairway. Green protected by bunkers.

Hole 2

PAR: 4
HCP: 8

One of the easiest holes on the course, provided you avoid the bunkers.
Tricky green.

Hole 3

PAR: 4
HCP: 12

A short but tricky hole due to the out-of-bounds area on the left and the fairway running at a diagonal angle to the line of play.

Hole 4

PAR: 4
HCP: 6

A fairly narrow, uphill hole, with a blind approach to the green, unless you clear the stone tower with your tee shot. Three-tiered green with steep slopes.

Hole 5

PAR: 3
HCP: 14

A medium-length par three hole with a large, two-tiered green, clearly visible from the distinctive tees nestled in the volcanic landscape.

Hole 6

PAR: 5
HCP: 4

Par 5. The first shot is important: failing to reach the flat area beyond the dogleg will leave you with an awkward lie.
The approach to the green requires precision.

Hole 7

PAR: 5
HCP: 2

The most difficult par 5 on the course, with a double dogleg right, playing uphill. The large, elevated green is protected by a bunker and by a rugged area on the left side formed by an ancient lava flow.

Hole 8

PAR: 3
HCP: 16

This par 3 hole with an elevated tee varies greatly in difficulty depending on the intensity and direction of the wind, which it is highly exposed to. The green sits on two levels, protected by a bunker that catches many shots.

Hole 9

PAR: 5
HCP: 10

A relatively short hole, offering a good birdie opportunity; it is best to play your second shot on the left side of the fairway to avoid the numerous bunkers protecting the right side of the green.

Hole 10

PAR: 3
HCP: 15

The longest par 3 on the course, often with crosswinds; it's advisable to aim to the right, considering that the slopes around the green fall sharply to the left.

Hole 11

PAR: 4
HCP: 1

The length and narrowness of the fairway, with the presence of water hazards and an out-of-bounds area on the left, make this hole a favourite for those who enjoy a challenge; even a bogey is a respectable result.

Hole 12

PAR: 5
HCP: 9

A short, uphill hole with a delicate drive; aim to keep your second shot on the left side of the fairway. The two-tiered green is protected at the entrance by two bunkers.

Hole 13

PAR: 4
HCP: 13

Par 4 dogleg left downhill. Despite not being particularly long, it's not advisable to try to reach the green in one shot; protecting it are large depressions on two sides, a volcanic rock area behind, and numerous surrounding trees.

Hole 14

PAR: 4
HCP: 3

A long drive is needed to reach the dogleg on this picturesque hole: falling short means you'll face a blind approach to the green, with a long stretch of rocky terrain crossing your path, the lake just behind, and an out-of-bounds area to the right of the green.

Hole 15

PAR: 3
HCP: 17

This is the most relaxed hole on the course, nestled in a natural amphitheatre with Mount Etna in the background. The green is large and lies across three tiers. A birdie is within putting range.

Hole 16

PAR: 4
HCP: 5

A delicate second shot, with challenging lava formations flanking the fairway and surrounding the green, makes this uphill par 4 hole particularly challenging. The green, covering 3 very steep tiers, is particularly challenging, especially with the pin on the top level.

Hole 17

PAR: 4
HCP: 11

A short but tricky hole due to the out-of-bounds area on the left and the fairway running at a diagonal angle to the line of play.

Hole 18

PAR: 5
HCP: 7

With the wind in their favour, long hitters can try to cut the dogleg to reach the green in two shots. The large, clearly visible green has gentle slopes.

Pioneers in Sicily.
History

The Club was founded in 1989 with the construction of Sicily's first golf course by famous architect Luigi Rota Caremoli, the only Italian architect to be admitted to the British society of Golf Course Architects.
Rota Caremoli made the most of the 44 hectares of hilly terrain, masterfully integrating the technical challenges into the landscape, so much so that the course appears entirely natural. The course has had the honour of hosting five Opens: from 1995 to 1997, for three consecutive years, the Sicilian Ladies Italian Open; in 2010, a stage of the European Senior Tour; and in 2011, the Italian leg of the Sicilian Ladies Italian Open.
